Carl F International has won the 2009 GOOD DESIGN Award for the d line Maxi Roll Holder. Through subtle, minimalist design the d line Maxi Roll Holder supplements the d line product range perfectly.
Founded in Chicago in 1950 by architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., GOOD DESIGN bestows international recognition upon the world's most prominent designers and manufacturers for advancing new, visionary, and innovative product concepts, invention and originality, and for stretching the envelope beyond what is considered ordinary product and consumer design.
In 2009 the Awards were given by a New York jury, representing the work of thousands of designers and industry leaders producing the finest accomplishments in design and manufacturing from 35 nations.
Carl F International won for our d line Maxi Roll Holder, which complements the entire d line Total Solution product range. Designer Knud Holscher has incorporated the subtle material of acryl into the design idiom of the d line range.
The ID Prize is the Danish Design Centre's award for high quality industrial design. In order for a product to be entered stringent criteria have to be adhered. The prize-winning d line products meet these criteria; a combination of technology and design in solutions that are functional and purposeful in relation to the user's needs.
The ID Classics Prize is awarded by the Danish Design Centre to a product that meets the same criteria as mentioned above and which has been in production unchanged for at least 25 years. Products in this category are characterised precisely by having been very innovative when they first appeared, and by being high quality design. The d line product range has been awarded for high quality industrial design and for being in production unchanged for at least 25 years.
